Latest Coventry City news as we provide you with all the details on when the second round draw of this season’s Carabao Cup takes place

Coventry City are in Carabao Cup action on Wednesday evening away at AFC Wimbledon (kick-off: 7:45pm).

The Sky Blues began their Championship campaign on Sunday with a narrow 2-1 defeat at Leicester City. A brace from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall secured all three points for the Foxes despite Coventry taking the lead through Kyle McFadzean.

But tonight they turn their attention towards the first round of the cup where Mark Robins will have the chance of rotating his squad for the trip to their League Two opponents. Wimbledon drew 0-0 at Grimsby in their league opener on Saturday.

Coventry won’t be taking their lower-league opponents lightly but here are the details on how to follow the second round draw.

When is the draw?

The draw takes place on Wednesday, August 9, and is due to start at roughly 10.15pm. The draw will follow the conclusion of Leicester City’s trip to Burton Albion which is being shown live on Sky Sports.

How can I watch the draw?

As it takes place after the game, the draw will be available to watch on Sky Sports Main Event and Sky Sports Football. Those without a Sky Sports subscription will be able to stream the draw live on the Sky Sports Football Youtube channel .

Who will be included?

Alongside all of the winners of the first round ties that take place this week, the 12 Premier League teams who are not competing in Europe this season will also join the draw. Manchester City, Arsenal, Manchester United, Newcastle United, Liverpool, Brighton, West Ham and Aston Villa will all enter the competition at the third-round stage.

When will the games take place?
