Michael Olise agrees personal terms with Chelsea

Sports Zone are reporting that Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise (21) has agreed personal terms over a return to Chelsea, and prefers a move to Stamford Bridge over a move to Manchester City.

Olise is currently injured and is expected to remain sidelined for several weeks at least after suffering a muscular injury on France U21 duty. Despite his absence, the Crystal Palace winger is highly coveted this summer. Manchester City and Chelsea are both interested in the player. The former see Olise as a replacement for Riyad Mahrez, who made a move to Saudi Arabia this summer. Olympique Lyonnais’ Bradley Barcola and Stade Rennais’ Jérémy Doku also feature on the Cityzens’ shortlist.

However, it is Chelsea who have made the more concrete advances. As revealed earlier in August by RMC Sport, the Blues have already seen a bid, thought to be worth around €30m, rejected by Crystal Palace. Sports Zone are reporting that Chelsea have seen another bid rejected by their Premier League counterparts.

Chelsea must therefore continue to work to find an agreement with Crystal Palace, but an agreement on personal terms has now been reached with the player. Despite Manchester City’s interest, Olise is set on a return to Chelsea, where he came through the academy before departing for Reading at under-14 level.
