Wolves traveled to Goodison Park on Saturday where they faced a must win game against Everton.

The game pitted two sides with a 0% win-rate against each other meaning both sides were desperate for a win.

However it was Gary O’Neil’s side who managed to pick-up the valuable points today.

A huge win for Wolves given the two loses to open the season, but beating the teams around them will be a huge boost of confidence.

The win coming away from home will also be important for O’Neil who will like what he seen from his side defensively today.

One player who was pivotal in the goal, has been praised heavily by a Sky Sports pundit.

Neto in line for praise

On Sky Sports Soccer Saturday, Sue Smith was watching the game along live.

She couldn’t hold back her praise following the Wolves goal, with Pedro Neto on the receiving end.

While describing the goal she said:

“Kalajdzic gets up well, he just glides it past Pickford into that far corner.”

She then remarked on the player who created the goal: “It’s a brilliant delivery from the right-hand-side, an absolutely brilliant delivery from Neto.”

Huge win for Wolves

The mood in the Wolves camp was low following what in hindsight was two disappointing defeats.

Along with this their star player is now being linked with a move away, which made winning against fellow struggling side Everton pivotal.

That is exactly what they managed to do, with a huge Sasa Kalajdzic goal winning all three points.

This could end up being a win we look back on as a key moment, come the end of the season.
