Everton ace James Garner sends three-word message after Leeds United confirmed transfer news

Everton youngster James Garner has sent a three-word message to Djed Spence following his loan move to Leeds United.

The latter has joined the Championship club on a season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspur, as per the official Leeds website (30 August).

The full-back, who joined Tottenham from Middlesbrough last summer, spent the second half of last season on loan at Ligue 1 club Rennes.

Spence has become Leeds’ sixth signing of the summer transfer window, and the youngster has taken to Instagram to announce himself to the club.

Among those commenting on the post was his England Under-21 teammate Garner, who wrote: “Good luck brother.”

Leeds have had a very interesting summer transfer window, with a large chunk of it involving the exits of many senior players, who did not want to be at Elland Road following the club’s relegation from the Premier League.

But new boss Daniel Farke has been making some decent signings of late, with Spence certain to play a key role in the coming months, in stark contrast to his time at Tottenham.

He and Garner have enjoyed themselves at international level, but they have both had tricky club careers of late, with Spence not featuring much during his loan spell in France.

Garner meanwhile hasn’t always been a regular starter under Sean Dyche, while his club have continued where they left off last season with a miserable start to the new Premier League campaign.

But the midfielder will undoubtedly be heavily involved throughout the season as the Toffees look to push themselves up the standings.

In other Everton news, Youssef Chermiti has sent a two-word message as the latest Toffees transfer news emerges.
