Everton striker Neal Maupay is on his way to Brentford for a physical as the two teams finalize a deal.

Maupay, who previously played for Brentford between 2017 and 2019, appears ready to join the club on loan.

 

Brentford are eager to improve their attacking options, especially with Ivan Toney currently suspended for violating FA betting rules.

Maupay has only scored one goal in 32 appearances for Everton since joining the club.

He scored 41 goals in 95 appearances during his first tenure with Brentford, when the club was in the Championship.

Brentford began the Premier League season with a 2-2 tie against Tottenham, then won 3-0 against Fulham before drawing 1-1 with Crystal Palace.
