Arnaut Danjuma, a 22-year-old Everton player, shined against Sheff Utd.

Everton forward Arnaut Danjuma was blown away by teammate Amadou Onana yesterday.

The 22-year-old took to social media following the Toffees’ first point of the season.

Sean Dyche’s team would have been keen for a success against Sheffield United yesterday.

Going into the game at Bramall Lane, they were pointless and goalless in the league.

Sheffield United had likewise struggled to get off to a good start in the Premier League, falling down to an Abdoulaye Doucoure goal.
Everton’s early season fortunes were summed up by an unlucky Jordan Pickford own goal, which was scored by new addition Cameron Archer.

Arnaut Danjuma scored his first goal for Everton in the second half and praised Amadou Onana.

The 22-year-old was linked with a move away from Goodison Park this summer, but he is still there for the time being.

If Everton are to escape the relegation zone, the Belgian international is likely to be crucial to their progress.

Danjuma made an impression on Everton teammate Onana.
After the game, the midfielder wrote on Instagram, “We wanted more today, but +1 is a start.” @danjuma, I’m rooting for you. “We will keep pushing.”

Arnaut Danjuma responded, “The best is you.”

Everton’s biggest difficulty has been scoring goals for some years, but the arrivals of Arnaut Danjuma and new striker Beto should help.

Yesterday, Beto looked like a genuine handful, and it shouldn’t be long until he scored his first Premier League goal.

Danjuma scored his first goal with a superb finish at the back post after Nathan Patterson sent a precise cross.

Sean Dyche will need players like Danjuma and Onana to contribute goals on a regular basis if Everton are to survive this season.

They’ll have considerably greater testing than Sheffield United, but they did get off to a good start yesterday.
