Sources: Everton is preparing to sign a free agent attacker.
According to Football Insider, Everton manager Sean Dyche and his recruitment team are scanning the market for potential free-agent arrivals.

The Toffees are thought to be interested in offensive players following exits late in the transfer window, which closed on Friday (1 September).

On deadline day, Everton lost forward trio Alex Iwobi, Tom Cannon, and Neymar to English clubs.

Everton signed five players over the summer, including Udinese striker Beto.

The 25-year-old made an immediate impact on the Merseysiders, scoring on his debut in a 2-1 League Cup victory over Doncaster.

Ashley Young joined Everton on a free transfer after leaving Aston Villa, and the 38-year-old has started all four Premier League games this season.
Dyche’s side is still winless in the Premier League this season, with only one point after a 2-2 draw against promoted Sheffield United on Saturday (2 September).

Loan approval Arnaut Danjuma scored the equalizer in the second half, joining Abdoulaye Doucoure as the only Toffees players to score a league goal this season.

Everton narrowly averted relegation previous season, with Dwight McNeil finishing as the club’s leading scorer with just nine goals.

Talisman Dominic Calvert-Lewin is still out of commission after suffering a facial injury against Aston Villa last month.

Demarai Gray, who scored six goals last season, could leave for Saudi Arabia this week.

Everton turned down a proposal for winger Demarai Gray from Saudi Pro League club Al-Ettifaq on deadline day, according to Football Insider.

The Saudi window, on the other hand, is open until Thursday (7 September).

After the international break (17 September), Dyche’s side will face Arsenal.

In other reports, Everton have paid a “high seven-figure” fee to get rid of flop.
