Jarrad Branthwaite has been withdrawn from the England Under-21 squad for the upcoming European Championships qualifier to undergo “planned treatment” for a minor groin problem, according to Everton. The

defender apparently picked up the injury on international duty over the summer and will remain at Finch Farm so that the club’s medical staff can address it before the Premier League season resumes in 10 days.

Demarai Gray’s complete transfer cost has been published by Everton.

The Merseyside attacker has been heavily linked with a move elsewhere this summer.

Demarai Gray, the Everton forward, has been connected with a large move to Saudi Arabia, and a trustworthy journalist has now offered a substantial update on the figures surrounding his impending departure from the Premier League.

Demarai Gray to leave Everton?
With Gray’s contract set to expire in less than a year, Sean Dyche now has one more chance to cash in if he does not want to risk losing an asset for free; yet, despite having previously been given the opportunity to offload him, bosses chose not to.

According to Football Insider, the Toffees rejected a £7.5m proposal from Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq on deadline day, and the player resorted to social media to express his displeasure with the manager, implying a lack of respect.

The Goodison Park manager quickly responded to the 27-year-old by announcing that he was refusing to participate in training and did not want to be associated with the club, saying:

“It’s unfortunate because I try to keep our company in-house.” I believe it is appropriate to respond on this occasion. Demarai made it obvious that he felt he was receiving a move [away from Everton] and that a move had been completed, which was interesting to hear from a player. We reminded him that no moves are made without the approval of this club. That is the reality.”

Demarai Gray has been signed by Al-Ettifaq.
Fabrizio Romano reported on X that Everton and Al-Ettifaq have reached an agreement for the transfer of Gray, who has already concluded the required aspects of the trade, with the only thing left to do now is sign the contract. He stated:

“Here we go, Demarai Gray to Al Ettifaq!” A deal has been reached for a fee of $10 million (£8.5 million) on permanent transfer, which will be signed today. Gray will sign a four-year contract with Everton until 2027, and he has already undergone medical testing. “Done and done.”

Demarai Gray has how many goals for Everton?

Gray has made 18 contributions (12 goals and six assists) in 75 appearances for Everton, so while his attitude recently hasn’t been acceptable, his individual talent and the quality that he brings to the pitch will undoubtedly be missed if he confirms his departure by the end of play today.

According to FBRef, the Birmingham-born star recorded 57 shots during the previous season, which was more than any of his colleagues, as well as whipping 173 crosses into the opposition’s box, which was the second-most on Merseyside.

Dyche’s “unbelievable” attacker, as dubbed by BT Sport pundit Rio Ferdinand, is also a versatile operator, having played in seven different positions across the pitch since the start of his career, including everywhere across the frontline and three roles in midfield, so this is another attribute that the manager will have to be without moving forward.
