Ryan Woods has agreed to join Bristol Rovers as a club striker.
The midfielder left the Tigers after only one year of a three-year contract.
Ryan Woods has left Hull City following a season-long loan agreement with Bristol Rovers. The 29-year-old moves to League One for the season and is expected to make an immediate impact for Bristol Rovers, who will become Woods’ eighth club.
The midfielder, who was just signed on a three-year contract last summer, has yet to appear this season and played just 11 minutes in the Championship during City’s final 14 games last season.
With no genuine future at the club under Liam Rosenior, he has been anticipated to go in recent weeks after the City manager said he didn’t see the player in his plans and had informed him he might leave.
“I’ll also put this on record. “He’s a top player, a top lad, but he’s just not the right type for us right now in terms of our midfield options,” Rosenior stated at the start of the month, admitting that he had met with Woods at the club’s training base to advise him that he was free to find a new club.
