Jesse Lingard’s departure has devastated the hearts of three Nottingham Forest players.
After leaving Nottingham Forest, Jesse Lingard wrote an emotional message on Instagram. Morgan Gibbs-White, Moussa Niakhate, and Felipe have all expressed their disappointment with the club’s choice.

This was, without a doubt, the correct call. Lingard has battled for playing time since the World Cup due to a number of injuries that have prevented him from progressing.

Lingard was only getting up to full pace at the conclusion of last year. He scored against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup and played excellently against Crystal Palace before the interval.

Nonetheless, the 30-year-old is widely misunderstood. Okay, the player has cost Forest a lot of money, but he’s had a beneficial impact on the squad behind the scenes.

Lingard’s next step is unknown. He is unlikely to sign another Premier League contract, and a move abroad appears to be the most likely consequence.

Lingard, in any case, served a role at Forest. His influence on a young squad was palpable, and now that the Reds have remained in the top flight, the money invested is a drop in the bucket.

Lingard sent an emotional message on Instagram following Forest’s departure.

Take a peek at Instagram to see what effect Lingard has had on the Forest squad. Gibbs-White, Felipe, and Niakhate all appear to be devastated by the forward’s departure.

Defender Niakhate tweeted a short statement with the words ‘My buddy’ and a bunch of devastated emojis beside it.

Felipe has only been at Forest for a short time. However, his admirers have warmed to him, and he has also sent Lingard on his way with a message.

“Best wishes on your journey,” he remarked.

Gibbs-White was one player that worked well with Lingard on the field. Before the World Cup, the two was doing well together, and it’s a shame they didn’t play together more.

On Lingard’s Instagram, he wrote, “Gonna miss you.”

Forest couldn’t see Lingard signing a contract extension, and given how much money he was making, his exit made perfect sense.

He does not deserve any punishment, however, and it will be interesting to watch where he ends up next.
