Jack Harrison, who joined Everton this summer from Leeds United will not be available v Arsenal on 17 September, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.

The injury expert believes that he arrived at Goodison Park not fully fit and that was one of the main reasons his move to Aston Villa fell through.

He did feature for Leeds this season, and that did not dissuade the Toffees from making a move to sign him on loan.

Discussing his situation exclusively with Goodison News, Brar, a doctor in physical therapy and a sports scientist, said,

Reports in August had him out for another six weeks due to his hip injury, which potentially cost him a move to Aston Villa).

Based on that, it’s unlikely he will be ready immediately following the international break and even then, he will have to be eased in following an extended layoff.

“It is a new team so he will have to adapt to the system and also play reserve games to regain his match sharpness.

“It’s unlikely his first start comes before October.”

The 26-year-old had a decent Premier League campaign last season by Leeds’ standards where he bagged five goals and provided seven assists.

He can play on either flank and also as a number 10 so Sean Dyche will have different ideas in mind for Harrison when he returns to fitness.
