Earlier on transfer deadline day, it was announced in France that Wolves and RC Strasbourg had reached an agreement for Jean-Ricner Bellegarde’s transfer.
Wolves had been hunting for a successor for Matheus Nunes and faced a tense few hours on Friday as they attempted to close deals.

They initially made a €8 million offer, which was instantly rejected by the French club. Bellegarde skipped training and made it plain that he wanted the agreement to be completed.Strasbourg have rejected a bid from Torino for Jean-Ricner Bellegarde - Get French Football News

According to rumors in France, the Ligue 1 club sought around double what Wolves had given. Those fears were unfounded, as the French media swiftly reported that a deal had been struck between the two teams, with just the formalities remaining.
Nabil Djellit has now reported that all medical exams have been finished, and Bellegarde is poised to join the Wolves.
