As Leicester confirms Everton ace James Tarkowski’s transfer, he delivers an eight-word message to former teammate Conor Coady. Conor Coady, James Tarkowski’s former Toffees teammate, has received an eight-word note from Tarkowski.

The statement comes after Coady signed a three-year contract with Leicester City after leaving Wolves after eight years.

The center-back spent last season on loan at the Merseyside club, making 25 appearances across all competitions.
“I’m very lucky to have been given the opportunity to represent this incredible football club,” Coady said on Instagram. “I can’t wait to meet the guys and get started… Let’s get started.”

Tarkowski, his former Everton teammate, responded, “Love it Cod Piece! “Good luck, my brother.”

Strong connection
Despite previously playing for Liverpool, Coady was well-liked in the blue half of Merseyside, and many Everton fans were perplexed when the club did not sign him on a permanent basis after his loan term ended.

The centre-back was a regular figure for the Toffees for much of the campaign, but he did lose his spot in the starting XI shortly after the arrival of Sean Dyche in the Everton dugout.

That is perhaps one of the main reasons why Coady is no longer a Toffees player, but he is now in for regular minutes at his new club, albeit in the Championship.

However, he looks set to play an important role in Leicester’s fight for immediate promotion to the top flight, with the Foxes and Coady in with a good chance of playing Premier League football once again very shortly.

When he did play for the Toffees, Coady formed a strong bond with fellow centre-back Tarkowski, with the pair definitely key to the club’s survival last season.

In other Everton news, one Manchester City player has sent a four-word message to Toffees ace James Garner.
