Christian Marques, a young Wolves player, has left the club permanently to join Swiss outfit Yverdon Sport.

Marques, 20, joined Wolves from Swiss club Grasshoppers in 2018 and immediately entered the club’s academy.

Captain at under 18 and under 21 levels, he advanced to the main team and appeared on the bench eight times, notably in the Europa League quarter-final against Sevilla, without making his debut.

Away from Molineux, he spent time on loan at Belenenses SAD but did not play, before going on to make 13 appearances for Forest Green Rovers during a brief spell with the club.

After returning to Molineux due to injury, he has now completed a permanent move to Yverdon, who are now sixth in the Swiss Super League.
