Full Leicester City injury list ahead of Leeds United clash with key players set to miss out
Leeds take on Leicester in the Premier League clash at the King Power Stadium on Sunday
Leicester City could be without a number of key players when they face Leeds United this weekend.
The Foxes are already without star striker Jamie Vardy, who is currently sidelined after undergoing a hernia operation.
Leeds go into the game on the back of a hard-fought victory over Newcastle in midweek, while Leicester could only manage a point in a draw with Everton.
Leicester will be hopeful that midfielder Wilfred Ndidi is available to face Leeds, but it’s unclear after he suffered a hamstring injury in the draw with Everton.
With only three minutes to go until halftime, Ndidi clearly had an issue with his hamstring and was withdrawn, and Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers hopes that it’s not too serious.
“He doesn’t think he’s over stretched it or tore it but we will just have to assess that.
“He felt it tighten in a certain part of his hamstring so we couldn’t risk it any more.”
Elsewhere, centre-back Jonny Evans should be available, Rodgers says, after the defender came off at Goodison Park due to a problem with his eye.
“Jonny just had blurred vision in one eye from when he went up for a header once so we think he will be okay.”
Earlier in the week Rodgers provided an update on some of the other injured members of Leicester’s squad, as well as Vardy, with Wes Morgan and Dennis Praet also on the sidelines, but Christian Fuchs could be available.
“There’s a timeline on it,” Rodgers said, when speaking about Vardy’s absence. “He’s a little sore as you’d expect. He’s in really good form and hopefully he’s a quick healer and he’ll be back available fairly soon.
“[There’s] no other [issues] than the boys that have been out; Vards (Jamie Vardy), obviously, [Dennis] Praet and Wes Morgan. Everyone else is coming through really well.
