Nnamdi Ofoborh has penned a heartfelt thank you message to Rangers for their support over the past two years.
Nnamdi Ofoborh has penned a heartfelt thank you message to Rangers for their support over the past two years.
In 2021, the midfielder joined Ibrox from Bournemouth.
However, due to an underlying heart problem found after signing, the Nigerian did not feature in a single game for the Light Blues.
Because of the problem, the 23-year-old was forced to sit out the game at Ibrox.
After a tumultuous two years, his contract was mutually terminated last week.
Now, Ofoborh has lifted the lid on his exit from the club, wishing everyone well for the future and thanking those who helped him during his time in Glasgow.
He posted on his Instagram story: “To my Rangers family, coaches, staff, teammates, and fans, I thank you for your support over the past two years.
“I will never forget my time up there, an experience that will stay with me forever. I also apologise as I wasn’t able to help in the ways that I wanted to and that hurt me the most. All the best this season @rangersfc. You’ll always have me as a supporter.”
Last week, a Rangers statement read: “Rangers can today announce that the club and Nnamdi Ofoborh have mutually agreed to end his contract.

“The midfielder, who joined Rangers at the start of 2021-22 season has opted to pursue a career elsewhere. Everyone at Rangers wishes Nnamdi all the very best of luck for the future.”
And now, Ofoborh has spoken out for the first time since his departure and admitted he was hurt that health issues meant he couldn’t contribute at Ibrox.
