The City Manager of Coventry provides a devastating injury update.
After speaking on the club’s website yesterday night, Coventry City manager Mark Robins said a third Sky Blues player had suffered a mid-range injury setback.

Kasey Palmer, a Jamaican international, has sustained a muscle rupture and will be out for six to eight weeks, following in the footsteps of Ben Sheaf and Milan Van Ewijk.
Who has been hurt?

The Sky Blues are presently missing five players due to injuries. Long-term absentees Fabio Tavares and Calle O’Hare are close to returning to the first-team lineup, but not before the international break.

Meanwhile, Van Ewijk, Sheaf, and Palmer have all sustained muscle rips and will be sidelined for six to eight weeks, putting even more pressure on Mark Robins’ team to produce a win.

A stumbling start
Coventry City drew their sixth Championship match of the season after conceding an equalizer in the 95th minute against Huddersfield Town.

Worryingly, the Sky Blues have just won one game this season and are presently 18th in the division. On Saturday, Mark Robins’ team travels to Queens Park Rangers in search of their first away win of the season.

What was said?

Manager Mark Robins commented on the club website following Monday’s draw with Huddersfield…

“Kasey is injured and will be out for six to eight weeks.” He has an adductor tear that I’m not sure when he received. It’s the identical injury that Ben Sheaf suffered. He did that in a game, although I’m not sure when. Ben completed his in training. Milan accomplished his goal in a game.”INTERVIEW: Kasey Palmer pleased with progress after Walsall win - News - Coventry City

Author’s Opinion
With three important players sidelined for Mark Robins’ team, as well as the long-term injuries of Callum O’Hare and Fabio Tavares, the Championship side is facing a difficult few weeks.

Coventry have just won once this season in all competitions, and their new team still has a lot of work to do if they want to recreate their form from previous season.
