Saint-Maximin started and scored in Newcastle’s pre-season friendly victory over Gateshead in early July, but he was absent from the team that overcame Rangers in their second pre-season friendly.

Howe revealed the reason for Saint-Maximin’s absence after the game.

“He’s in early discussions about a potential move away,” he added. That is why he was not present. He’s unlikely to accompany us on our tour of America. I don’t think Maxi wants to go, but he may feel the time has come for him to do so.”

What is the reason behind Allan Saint-Maximin’s departure from Newcastle?

Allan Saint-Maximin is a fan favorite among many Newcastle fans, and he is seen as a mercurial talent with the capacity to impact games with his technical skills.

Eddie Howe spoke on the situation in his post-match interview. “Maxi is the player who is generating the interest,” Howe remarked. FFP (financial fair play) is a new dynamic that emerged during my first window here, and we knew it would have an influence on us.

“Player trading is essential – you can’t hit it if you don’t trade.” This window, we’re compelled to trade a player.”

“If the deal didn’t go through,” Howe added. I’d be overjoyed. It would clearly have an influence on our capacity to bring in other players, and we could have to sell another player as a result. That is how Financial Fair Play has affected us.”Saudi Arabia snag another signing! Allan Saint-Maximin completes £23m Al-Ahli move from Newcastle | Goal.com India
