Not many Rangers fans are particularly unhappy at the Gers’ decision to sack Michael Beale as the manager, but it seems that two of the current players of the Ibrox club are really disappointed.
On Sunday evening, Rangers announced the decision to sack Michael Beale following a run of poor results.
Rangers have announced that “Steven Davis will lead the interim management team”.
The Scottish Premiership club’s chairman, John Bennett, added that the Gers are already on the hunt for a new manager.
Rangers are third in the Scottish Premiership table at the moment with 12 points from seven matches.
The Ibrox club are seven points behind leaders and defending champions Celtic.
One of the players who have sent a public message to Beale after the sacking is Todd Cantwell.
As you can see below, Cantwell has posted an emotional message on Instagram after learning that Beale has been sacked.
Rangers forward Danilo has responded to his post, and he, too, seems disappointed that Beale is gone from Ibrox.
Danilo joined Rangers from Feyenoord in the summer transfer window.
The Brazilian striker has scored two goals and given three assists in the Scottish Premiership for the Gers so far this season.
The 24-year-old has scored two goals in those games.
Todd Cantwell moved to Rangers from Norwich City in January 2023.
The English midfielder has made three starts and one substitute appearance in the Scottish Premiership for the Gers so far this season.
The 25-year-old has also played thrice in the Scottish Cup for the Gers so far this campaign.
During the second half of last season, Cantwell made 15 starts and one substitute appearance in the Scottish Premiership for Rangers.
The midfielder scored six goals and gave four assists in those games.
