NFL world reacts to Josh Allen’s announcement

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen was honored for his play in Week 4 as the NFL named him AFC Offensive Player of the Week.

After a rocky start to the season, in which he turned over the ball four times (three interceptions, one fumble) in an overtime loss to the New York Jets, Josh Allen has started to find his groove. No longer trying to be Superman, Allen, and the Bills have rifled off three straight victories, including their latest waxing of the Miami Dolphins, who put up 70 points a week prior.

For his efforts in Buffalo’s 48-20 takedown of the Dolphins in Week 4, Allen was named the AFC’s Offensive Player of the Week. The MVP candidate completed 21 of 25 passes (84 percent) with 320 passing yards and four touchdowns against zero interceptions. Allen had five total touchdowns, as he added another one on the ground, in addition to four rushes for 17 yards.

He also had his first career perfect passer rating (158.3) in Sunday’s win.

According to the Buffalo Bills PR, Allen has now been named player of the week in 5 of his 11 career regular season games vs. the Miami Dolphins. In his career against the Dolphins, Allen had tallied a 9-2 record in the regular season and 1-0 in the playoffs. He totaled 39 touchdowns (34 passing, five rushing) against just 1o turnovers.

The NFL world was quick to react to the major honor for the Bills’ quarterback.
