New Commanders owner Magic Johnson RIPS team after 20-point loss to lowly Chicago Bears… saying the team ‘played with no intensity or fire’

Magic Johnson voiced his anger at his new team’s poor result on Thursday Night Football.

After a season that began with a lot of hope for fans of the Washington Commanders – in the form of new management – reality has come crashing back down on the fans at FedEx Field.

The Commanders were blown out of their own building on Thursday by the Chicago Bears – who had not won a game since 2022 – by a score of 40-20.

Johnson, who bought into the team as a part-owner, took to Twitter to rail against Washington’s awful showing.

‘Tonight the Commanders played with no intensity or fire,’ the Basketball Hall-of-Famer said.

‘We didn’t compete in the first half and got down 27-3 heading into halftime. It was too big of a hole to climb out of and that is why we ended up losing 40-20.’

After starting the season 2-0 with wins over the Arizona Cardinals and the Denver Broncos, the Commanders have lost three straight.

While a 37-3 blowout by the Bills is excusable and a 34-31 loss to the Eagles is a heartbreaker, but understandable, getting blown out by the worst team in the league is a stumbling block.

They’ll look to take back the reins on their season next week, when they travel to the Atlanta Falcons.
