NFL Trade Rumors: Teams Interested in Vikings’ Jalen Reagor Ahead of Roster Cuts Deadline

According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the Minnesota Vikings have received trade interest in wide receiver Jalen Reagor.

The news comes just hours before the deadline for teams to reduce their rosters to 53 players at 4 p.m. ET. According to ESPN’s Kevin Seifert, Reagor will be cut, so a trade would allow Minnesota to collect some compensation for a player who might be on his way out anyhow.

Of course, given the inherent uncertainty surrounding the 2020 first-round pick, interested parties may simply wait until the roster deadline.

Of course, given the inherent uncertainty surrounding the 2020 first-round pick, interested parties may simply wait until the roster deadline.

Reagor was acquired by Minnesota around this time last year in exchange for a 2023 seventh-round pick and a conditional 2024 fourth-round pick. The fact that he could be on the move again demonstrates how his worth has continued to fall following his disastrous stint with the Philadelphia Eagles.

In 2022, the 24-year-old played in every game for the Vikings but caught only eight passes for 104 yards and one touchdown. The team, predictably, denied his fifth-year option, which would have paid him about $13 million in 2024.

If Reagor’s days in Minnesota are numbered, another team might be ready to give him a chance. It’s still too early to exclude the possibility that he could develop into a productive wideout on a large scale.

If he gets cut, Reagor may have to work his way up from the practice squad, since moving into the active team right away could be difficult.
