The former Collingwood boss is the latest to join the new AFL House Team .
The veteran administrator will oversee a range of key areas at league headquarters.
In the latest change to the AFL’s football operations department, the league has appointed former Collingwood football coach Geoff Walsh to an advisory role.
AFL House has seen Laura Kane (EGM Football) and Josh Mahoney (GM Football Operations) take up roles under new CEO Andrew Dillon, and Walsh now brings 37 years of administrative experience to the head office.

Walsh was last at St. Kilda as Saints football coach, but resigned after four months for personal reasons.
He has held previous roles at Carlton, North Melbourne and Collingwood, overseeing each club’s football department.
The veteran administrator will now work alongside Dillon, Kane and Mahoney at AFL House in a new part-time role in the league’s football operations sector.

Walsh will work across the AFL, AFLW, VFL and VFLW leagues, as well as the Coates Talent League, and will inform the CBA’s competitive balance review and support the league’s list management team with plans to expand the competition to Tasmania in the coming years.
It will review and examine the development of state tournaments as well as the franchise process of federation projects.
