Reactions were swift, with most attempting to laugh it off and claim that Pickens is not becoming Brown. However, some supporters are concerned. It was evident from the comments that they are finding it difficult to avoid drawing comparisons between Pickens and Brown and are afraid that another wide receiver meltdown for the Steelers is imminent.

For those worried, Pickens is just 22 years old and has plenty of leadership in the locker room to help calm future frustrations. At times, it may feel like this is another uneasy situation the Steelers could find themselves in, but if Pickens adapts to the difficulties of the NFL, this will settle itself quickly.

As for expectations for Brown and his interaction with the situation, don’t expect it to stop anytime soon.
