Chicago Bears head coach Matt Eberflus must be fired immediately.
Sunday was shaping up to be a win for the Chicago Bears against the Detroit Lions.
The victory marks the first two-game winning streak of Matt Eberflus’ tenure as Bears head coach, and Eberflus’ first win against an NFC North opponent.

The problem is that the Bears stopped playing with 4: left in 15 games.
The Bears led 26-14 at this point, but the Lions scored 17 unanswered points to win.
The Bears have been healthier all season, including the return of Justin Fields after missing the previous four games Sunday, and in all cases over the last month, Eberflus said the team is getting closer.
He was suggesting that he was wrong and will continue to be wrong.
Under this coaching staff, the Bears have proven over the past two years that they don’t know how to win games, but instead find new ways to lose games.
While other teams in the Bears’ position, such as the Minnesota Vikings and Denver Broncos, have shown hard-fought progress in the first half of the 2023-2024 NFL season, the Bears have shown regression.
Momentum seemed to be building for the Bears to bring Eberflus back next season, but Sunday was yet another reminder of why that can’t happen.
Eberflus has proven to be an overrated defensive coordinator, and he can’t continue to be that inept in a season in which his defense twice blew a two-ball lead in the fourth inning.

This doesn’t even touch on the fact that Eberflus removed two assistants from his coaching staff, citing personnel issues.
The Bears are a broken organization and a new head coach won’t solve all their problems, but there’s more hope than if they decided not to make a change
