Port Adelaide welcomes three draftees to Alberton Port Adelaide has welcomed three new faces to the club through the National Draft.Port Adelaide has added three talented youngsters to its list with Tom Anastasopoulos, Lachlan Charleson and Will Lorenz landing at Alberton after the second night of the AFL Draft.


Forward Anastasopoulos’ name was called at pick 48 after the club traded its future 4th Round pick tied to Essendon with North Melbourne.
Forward Charleson was selected with pick 52 after Port Adelaide traded its future 4th Round pick tied to Carlton with Hawthorn, while the club used its final selection of pick 57 to select midfielder Lorenz.
Anastasopoulos, a product of Geelong Falcons, is known for his good mix of speed and endurance and ability to finish in front of goals.
Charleson, who represented Vic Country in the national championships, is a small forward with very good forward craft and an ability to hit the scoreboard.
A former Vic Metro representative and member of the AFL Academy, Lorenz is a versatile player with great skills who can play as both a half-forward and a winger.
Port Adelaide’s National Recruiting Manager Geoff Parker was excited about the club’s latest recruit.
“We’re looking at the entire trade and draft period and we’re very happy with the players we brought to the club during this period,” Parker said.

“During the trade period, we focused on acquiring key defenders and racks to strengthen our roster, and tonight’s draft focused on acquiring strong defenders and racks to step up and hit the scoreboard.
There was a clear plan to sign a forward.
” “I feel like Tom, Lachlan and Will have that too.
“Tom is a small forward with a good combination of speed and stamina.
He has the ability to move from forward 50 to defensive 50 and is a very good scorer if given the opportunity.
“Lachlan is also a small forward.

He is a forward and has shown outstanding batting ability this season.
He has the ability to get on the scoresheet, as evidenced by his eight goals against Bendigo earlier this year.
“Will is Tom Taller than Lachlan and Lachlan, he showed versatility, being able to play as a half-forward or press high into the ground on the wing.
Throughout the season, he will also be impressed with the way he uses the ball, whether walking or in his hands.
Port Adelaide will include a pick (No.
13) in tomorrow’s AFL Rookie Draft.
