The drought continues.
Ohio State lost its third straight game with a 30-24 loss to Michigan in Ann Arbor on Saturday at The Game.
It was the first time since 1995-97 that the Buckeyes lost to the Wolverines three years in a row.
The Buckeyes have never led in a game.
After both teams punted on their first two drives, Michigan got the first big of the game when Will Johnson intercepted a pass from Kyle McCord to Marvin Harrison Jr.
and returned it to the 7-yard line.


I decided to play.
The Buckeyes’ defense mostly kept a goal-line stand, but the Wolverines attempted a 4th-and-goal from the 1-yard line and Blake Collum slotted the ball into the end zone for their first score of the day.

A 24-yard pass from McCord to Harrison and an illegal helmet contact penalty to Michigan’s Derrick Moore got the Buckeyes past the 30-yard line, but the drive stalled from there and if Ohio State hadn’t had Cade It almost ended with the next interception that would have dropped the ball.

Michigan made the game two scores on its next possession, driving 75 yards in 14 plays for a touchdown.

McCarthy capped off the drive with a 22-yard touchdown pass to Roman Wilson.
Ohio State responded by driving his 73 yards in seven plays, scoring his first touchdown on the next possession.
The drive was highlighted by a 32-yard pass from McCord to Stover and culminated with a 3-yard touchdown connection between McCord and Emeka Egbuka.
The Buckeyes had another scoring chance before the end of the first half after a defensive stop and a 44-yard connection from McCord to Harrison, but ultimately the Buckeyes settled for a satisfying 52-yard field goal attempt.

Fielding missed the ball to left, giving Michigan a 14-10 lead at halftime.
Michigan started the second half with the ball and quickly moved into Ohio State territory with two plays of 20 yards.
From there, the Buckeyes held off Michigan, with James Turner attempting a field goal from 50 yards out, extending the home team’s lead to seven points.
Ohio State responded with the game-winning touchdown on the first drive of the second half.
The Buckeyes relied heavily on the running back tandem of Treveyon Henderson and Chip Trayanum, rushing for 75 yards in 12 plays.
Henderson finished the drive with a 3-yard touchdown run.
Michigan fought back with a seven-play, 75-yard touchdown drive, culminating with a 22-yard Blake Colm touchdown run to take the lead with 55 points and 1:444 left in the third quarter.
After Ohio State went three-and-out on its next possession, Michigan got back into his zone with his 34-yard trick-play pass from Donovan Edwards to Colston Loveland.
In the end, Turner made a 38-yard field goal for the Wolverines, giving them a 10-point lead.
Ohio State answered with a much-needed touchdown drive, gaining 65 yards in eight plays.
Harrison capped off the drive with a 14-yard catch-and-run for a score of 05 yards left with 8: remaining.

Ohio State loses to Michigan 30-24

But the Buckeyes bled Michigan with their ensuing attack seven minutes after halftime, eventually forcing the Wolverines to make a 37-yard field goal with 1:4,444 remaining.
Ohio State’s last-minute comeback attempt ended when McCord’s throw over the middle was denied by Rod Moore with 25 seconds left.
Ohio State hasn’t beaten Michigan in his four years here.
The 2020 edition of The Game was canceled due to COVID-19, and the Wolverines have won all three games against the Buckeyes since then.
The Buckeyes will be watching the Big Ten Championship Game at home for the third year in a row as they await word on their postseason fate.
It will likely need a lot of help to secure a spot in the four-team College Football Playoff, leaving the Orange Bowl as a likely destination.
