NFL world reacts to another Browns injury
The Cleveland Browns have again shown themselves as one of the NFL’s unluckiest teams.
Already without starting quarterback D
Shaun Watson, starting running back Nick Chubb, and a handful of other players for the rest of the season, including backup quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson, joined the list of injured Browns in Sunday’s 29-12 loss to the Denver Broncos.
Thompson-Robinson exited the game and was put into concussion protocol after taking a big hit on third and long late in the third quarter. The hit was called for unnecessary roughness, drawing an angry reaction from the Denver crowd
Thompson-Robinson went 14-for-29 with 134 passing yards and one touchdown pass, which went to tight end Harrison Bryant.
PJ Walker came in to replace Thompson-Robinson and went 6-for-13 for 56 yards. It’s unknown if Thompson-Robinson will return for next week’s game against the Los Angeles Rams, Walker will start, or the Browns will look to sign another quarterback.
Fans on social media had a lot to say about both the hit and the Browns’ injury situation overall.
One fan said, “We’ve completely lost what it means to play football,” in response to the hit being penalized.
