Milwaukee Brewers Sign Former Houston Astros Reliever

The Milwaukee Brewers have signed a former Houston Astros reliever.

Paredes played in Triple-A during the 2023 season. The walks were a big problem once more. There were 45 batters he walked in 54.1 innings pitched. The command problems and 4.80 ERA did not justify another opportunity with the big league club in 2023. A hard fastball, but the key question will be whether he can manage its direction.

Milwaukee now has an opportunity to attempt to ascertain that.

This is a good buy-low option for the brewers. This could be a great addition because he has an above-average slider and a good fastball.

Paredes saw little action in the last few years after making his Astros debut in 20 games in 2020. The majority of that is because he occasionally can’t throw strikes. He walked 17 batters in just 8.2 innings during the 2021 season.

It was there during the 2020 season. Even so, 11 out of 20 people still had problems with the walks.Twenty strikeouts in two innings made up for it. His finest professional season was 2020.
