Eagles quote: “Last year, there were a lot of crying and boo hoos.” DEL After losing to Philadelphia in the NFC Championship Game the previous year, Hasson Reddick takes a jab at 49ers complaints.

The San Francisco 49ers firmly believe that their NFC Championship Game against the Philadelphia Eagles last season wasn’t a fair play, the 31-7 defeat.

After last season’s NFC Championship game and their 31-7 loss, the Niners claimed that they would have won that game and made the Super Bowl if Brock Purdy hadn’t gotten hurt.

Fortunately, this Sunday, the Eagles and the 49ers will face each other in a highly anticipated rematch of last season’s NFC championship.

Back in January, many 49ers players, including receiver Deebo Samuel, argued the loss was due in part to many players being injured, including QB Purdy.

After the Eagles’ win on Sunday, Reddick was curious about those comments heading into the game. Reddick had a pretty simple message to his upcoming opponents.

Reddick said this via SportsRadio 94WIP.“You know, as this season’s been going on, not much. Talk is cheap. You know, they get to come back to The Linc (Lincoln Financial Field). It was a lot of boo hoos last year—a lot of crying, a lot of what if, a lot of this, a lot of that. They get a chance to come back in here, line that up, and prove it again.”

The Eagles currently have a 10-1 record, which is the best record in the NFL. The 49ers (8–3) come into the game as a slight betting favorite, though, with -2.5 odds.

To highlight the comments made by the 49ers players, wide receiver Deebo Samuel said in February,Our defense was doing what they were supposed to, and I feel like if Brock was in at quarterback and how our offense moves, I don’t think it would have been close if that makes sense.”
