Celtics’ Jaylen Brown Destroys Ref Who Ejected Him vs. Knicks

Boston Celtics star Jaylen Brown was ejected for the first time in his NBA career against the New York Knicks.

Brown picked up a technical foul for arguing a call in the fourth quarter and was ejected after picking up a second T when he went to the bench shortly afterward.

“To be honest, I’m not sure, but I wish I would’ve gotten my money’s worth,” Brown said. “I always thought my first career ejection would be something a little more exciting. Maybe a tussle or something; guys get folded up and go to the ground, not some overemotional ref who had a bad day. What I’m most upset about is that I should’ve got my f—ing money’s worth.”

Crew chief Mark Lindsay told a pool reporter that Brown’s first technical was for “use of profanity toward a game official.” The second T was for “a wave-off directed at the official, which under the respect of the game guidelines is considered an overt gesture and an unsportsmanlike act.”

The final score was 133-123 in favor of the Celtics over the Knicks. In 27 minutes, Brown scored 17 points, dished out four assists, and shot 7 of 13 from the field, 2 of 5 from beyond the arc, and 1 of 1 from the free throw line.
