The No. 2 ranked Georgia Bulldogs head to their final SEC road game of the season in Knoxville, Tennessee, this weekend. Thanks to a win over Ole Miss and a Tennessee loss to Missouri, Georgia enters the matchup vs. the Volunteers as the SEC Eastern Division champions.
On Tuesday, Kirby Smart met with the media for his final press conference prior to the matchup and he updated the injury report.
- TE, Brock Bowers (Ankle): “He didn’t play every snap of every game anyways, but he’s in good shape; he’s conditioned. I don’t know that he’s 100%, but he’s healthy and safe enough to play and we are going to let him play if he wants to play.”
- OT, Amarius Mims (Ankle):
- DB, Julian Humphrey (Shoulder) “I don’t know how long it’s going to be. He’s got an upper-body injury, but he’s dinged up.”
- DL, Warren Brinson: “He’s not been able to do much this week. We are hopeful to get him back, but he wasn’t able to do much today.”
- WR, CJ Smith (knee): “He’s. had a knee injury that’s been bothering him.”
- LB, Jamon Dumas-Johnson (shoulder) – OUT – Time table TBD
- Dan Jackson (Knee): He played against Ole Miss in mop-up time.
- Darris Smith “He is focused on academics right now. I wouldn’t say he’s with us but he’s focused on academics right now.”
- Xavian Sorey: Sorey did not dress for Missouri and Kirby Smart said that he was dealing with personal things.
- RB Branson Robinson (knee): Robinson has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after a preseason knee injury.
- The Dawgs now prepare to face the Tennessee Volunteers, which would have been an SEC East championship game if the Vols had not lost to Missouri earlier in the day, meaning Georgia clinched the East whether they beat Ole Miss or not.
