This Chiefs team has some serious issues.
The Kansas City Chiefs have lost two straight and three of their last four.
The 8-5 record is not what Chiefs fans are used to.
They could be in the Super Bowl again thanks to Patrick Mahomes and this great defense.
But for now, it’s worth looking ahead.
Some of the key players have played so badly that they can’t justify being on this team.
Now, can the Chiefs realistically part ways with all of them?
Probably not.
But they cause problems.

Donovan Smith, T Say what you will about the bad wide receiving core (and it certainly was), but the offensive line hasn’t done Patrick Mahomes any favors, at least on the outside.
Donovan Smith was considered the perfect candidate for the Chiefs as a historically great pass blocker.
But he hasn’t been good this season.
He seems to have fallen.
Smith has allowed a whopping 42 pressures this season. He had two sacks and seven hits against Mahomes, and also committed nine penalties.
His play so far has Chiefs fans wondering what the heck happened.
During his time in Tampa Bay, he guarded Tom Brady very well.
He was one of the best pass blockers in the game.
How could he fall so quickly?
The time may be right for Smith.
Age may catch up with him and the Chiefs will have to go in a different direction next year.
