The Nebraska native comes from Creighton Prep and is a lifelong Nebraska fan.
In an article about the Nebraska Rivals, Bullock said how much playing for the Huskers meant to him.
“It means a lot to me,” Brock said of Rhule’s scholarship.
“I’ve been working hard for this day since I got here.
It was great to be able to share that with my teammates and I’m very grateful to Coach Rhule for that.

As a kid growing up, that was my team.
That’s all I watched.
It meant the world.
It was my dream to play here.
I don’t take that for granted at all.
Rhule and the rest of the team were aware of Block’s potential before the season.
Brock received a single-digit number through a process in which teammates vote for the program’s toughest player.
The former walk-on is having a career year and announced on social media Thursday that he will be using his coronavirus year.
Brock redshirted as a freshman in 2019 after receiving only offers from the Augustana Vikings and Lindenwood Lions out of high school.
He found his way onto the field to help with his special teams before carving out a role for himself during the 2023 season.
Matt Rhule, Tony White, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers used Brock better than anyone before him Brock recorded just 6 tackles as a Husker before becoming a key contributor in the 2023 season, which I hadn’t.
Even though Brock has been a member of the team for five years, he only recorded stats from 2021.
Brock played a solid role in defensive coordinator Tony White’s 3-3-5 defense this year.
Bullock recorded 50 tackles on the season, including 1.

5 sacks and a forced fumble.
The game against the Maryland Terrapins in mid-November was the only game this season in which Bullock did not record multiple tackles.
Bullock played in 12 games this year, recording five or more tackles in half of his games.
Block contributed greatly to Nebraska’s Cornhusker’s best defense since he entered Big Ten.
Brock and his teammates were responsible for turning first-year defensive coordinator Tony White into one of Nebraska’s best defensemen since entering the Big Ten.
It was the first Big Ten season in which the Huskers successfully held opposing offenses to less than 20 points per game and less than 5 yards per play.
Tony White’s exceptional performance in his first year earned him numerous head coaching opportunities this offseason, but Nebraska gave him a raise to keep him.
In addition to running for the USC defensive coordinator position, White received a 60% raise after applying for the head coaching position at San Diego State, increasing his salary to $1.
6 million.
Bullock was part of a front seven that made Nebraska the seventh-best rushing defense in the country, allowing just 92.

Nebraska veteran linebacker Bullock will return in 2024
9 yards per game.
He also ranks ninth in yards per play, allowing just 4.
62 yards per play this season.
Brock’s return is a welcome addition, as there is only one commitment in the 2024 freshman class, Willis McGahey IV.
Linebacker space is tight with the departures of Nick Heinrich (retired due to injury) and Luke Reimer (ineligible).
Brock will join several other returning veterans as part of the Cornhuskers’ rebuilding team.
These veterans are: The nationally ranked defense returns a solid core with a proven coordinator in white, but the offensive competition could be slightly better in the 2024 season.
