Fabrizio Romano has revealed that rumoured Tottenham target Daichi Kamada is now edging closer to a move to AC Milan.
Eintracht Frankfurt confirmed last month that Daichi Kamada is expected to leave Deutsche Bank Park when his contract runs out this summer, and it appears as if there is a major scramble for the attacking midfielder’s signature.
90 min revealed on May 16 that the 26-year-old remains on Tottenham‘s wishlist, with the North London club said to have sent scouts to watch the player in action in Frankfurt’s recent 3-0 win over Mainz.
The report added that the likes of Napoli and Benfica have also accelerated efforts to sign the Japan international recently but it was asserted that AC Milan believe they will win the race for his signature, with the Rossoneri hierarchy said to be ‘pushing hard to strike a deal’ for the player.
Romano has now taken to social media to reveal that Milan are close to agreeing on a contract with Kamada, with the journalist adding that Stefano Pioli’s side are expected to hold a medical soon.

◉ There’s verbal agreement in principle, club optimistic but careful until he signs.
◉ Between European bids, Kamada has picked Milan.
◉ Contract will be valid until June 2028, as per @berger_pj.

Spurs Web Opinion
I am extremely disappointed that Tottenham have seemingly not explored a deal for Kamada as there is no doubt that the 26-year-old would improve our squad.
I fear we are missing out on some great deals owing to our delay in appointing a manager and a director of football.
