3 Texas Tech football players receive NFL Scouting Combine invites

Three former Texas Tech football players that were invited to the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine will be in Indianapolis later this month.

Myles Cole, a defensive lineman, and Dadrion Taylor-Demerson, a defensive back, will represent the Red Raiders.

Rabbit, whose real name is Taylor-Demerson, concluded a stellar five-year career at Texas Tech by leading the team in interceptions (four) and finishing third overall with 73 total tackles. In addition, he broke eight passes.

This season, Cole had 12 appearances and recorded a career-high 3.5 sacks along with six quarterback hurries. In the two seasons he has worn a Red Raider uniform, he has amassed 32 tackles. In order to get ready for the draft, Cole chose not to play in the Independence Bowl back in December.

Head coach Joey McGuire frequently referred to Owens as the team’s fastest player. Despite injuries from the previous season, Owens played in 10 games and recorded 37 tackles along with two pass breakups.

321 prospects in all were invited to the combine, which is scheduled for February 26–March 4. April 25–27 is the NFL Draft in 2024.
