Paul Hurst tells Shrewsbury Town midfielder to keep it simple
Paul Hurst, the manager of Shrewsbury Town, wants midfielder Nohan Kenneh to stick to his skills and play a basic game.
The midfield player joined the team on a season-long loan from Hibernian and has made 26 appearances so far this season, the most of which were under the direction of former manager Matt Taylor.
But in three of the five games Hurst has managed since taking over, Kenneh has not been included on the matchday roster.
However, the Liberian international did make a comeback to the team last Saturday against Wigan, replacing Carl Winchester in the 69th minute.
Hurst has also advised Kenneh to maintain simplicity.
“He won the ball back for us on quite a number of occasions,” Hurst said speaking about Kenneh’s performance.
Which, in my opinion—which I won’t refute—is his greatest strength. I’ve kind of told him that: don’t feel bad about it because, although it might be a small thing and not something that people will truly appreciate, it is crucial to a team.
“I felt that last weekend, he showed that kind of performance, which is what I would kind of expect from him, in terms of getting it back and giving it to someone else.
