Morecambe boss Brannan excited signing Forest striker Larsson
Julian Larsson, a new recruit, has been welcomed by Morecambe boss Ged Brannan.
The Swedish striker signed on a June loan from Nottingham Forest.
“He plays for Nottingham Forest, a premier team; if you play for a team like that, you’re not a poor player! He will bolster our offense, so I’m excited to have him in,” Brannan stated on the team’s website.
“You need two guys at every position, and our offensive has been lacking lately, to be honest. I know he’s joined; he will add quality to the team. We needed a few more players to make the race for spots more intense.
“He is fast, he is direct, you can either put him on the edge, so that he can fold in, or you can play him as a nine or behind the nine.
“So he can play anywhere in the attack which is beneficial for us – he is very direct, a great finisher and has an eye for goal.”
