Aston Villa are convinced Unai Emery is at the club for the long haul, despite the Spaniard among the candidates to replace Thomas Tuchel at Bayern Munich this summer
Unai Emery is regarded by Aston Villa as a long-term fixture at the club, while Bayern Munich has him on their list of contenders to succeed Thomas Tuchel this summer.
Emery is thought to be among the best coaches in Europe. Right now, Emery is only concerned with getting Villa into Europe for a second straight season.
They now hold spots in the Champions League and take on Nottingham Forest at home on Saturday. They will play again in the Europa Conference League at the last 16 stage next month; on Friday, they will find out who their opponents are.
It’s unlikely that midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo, who is now on loan, will stay with the team past this season.
The Italian, who was loaned from Galatasaray in the summer, is about to make a return loan to Serie A after failing to start a game for almost two months.
