Adam Mayor, a winger from Morecambe, has signed a “long-term” contract with championship team Millwall for an unknown price.

The 19-year-old made his first-team debut in August 2022 and has since scored seven goals in 67 outings for the League Two squad.

This season, he has participated in 28 games with three goals. He was signed on loan by Burnley’s Michael Obafemi and Spurs’ Japhet Tanganga.

Mayor will be suspended for Millwall’s upcoming Saturday matchup with Hull City.

“It’s been in the pipeline for a while, but now it’s here, I’m excited to get going and push on,” he stated.

“Millwall was the best option for me out of all the clubs that were in contention.

“The club is quite large. The staff will support me, and I feel like I can grow there as well.”
