THE EIGHT TENTS COUNTY ATHLETES ARE SET TO GO FREE AGENT NOW AUGUSTINE
Notts County runs the risk of losing eight or more players who have contracts expiring at the end of the current campaign.
John Bostock and Aden Baldwin are two significant players whose futures with the team need to be determined.

Younger players with talent who haven’t played much recently, like Cedwyn Scott and Luther Munakandafa, will need to make decisions for the team.
Thanks to a spectacular promotion campaign from the National League the previous season, Notts County made their way back to the Football League.

The Magpies have their sights set firmly on a return to League One and are aiming for back-to-back promotions.

The club last competed in the third tier of English football in 2015 and are in the mix to earn a play-off place, at least, this season.

But their attention will already be turning towards the summer regardless of their league status, especially with up to eight players set to leave as free agents at the end of the campaign.

1 Aden Baldwin

Baldwin signed for Notts County in the summer of 2022 on a two-year deal that is not coming to its closing months.

The 26-year-old has been a regular presence in the team in League Two.

But time is running out to find an agreement on terms of a new deal, otherwise the club risks losing him for nothing in the summer.

2 Tobi Adebayo-Rowling

Adebayo-Rowling also joined the club on a two-year deal in the summer of 2022, signing from Ebbsfleet United.

The 27-year-old hasn’t proved as important a player in the team, but he is still a useful squad player that the club may want to keep around beyond this season.

3 John Bostock

Bostock signed an 18-month contract when he joined the club just over a year ago.

The 32-year-old has been an ever-present in the side in League Two this season, becoming an important part of the team.

But now a decision will need to be made over whether he has a longer-term future with the Magpies beyond this campaign.

4 Richard Brindley

The centre-back is in his fifth season with the club, but it could be his last unless a new deal is agreed before summer.

Brindley has been an important part of the side during that time, so it would be a surprise if he wasn’t retained beyond this season.

Injury has plagued Scott this season, with his last appearance for the club coming in August.

The 25-year-old’s contract is set to expire this summer, having previously been an important part of their promotion to the fourth tier in his debut season last year.

6 Jim O’Brien

The Irishman has been with Notts County since joining from Bradford City in 2019 and has been an important part of the squad during those five years.

However, at 36 years of age, it remains to be seen whether he will commit his long-term future to the club beyond this season.

Bajrami is another 2022 signing that arrived as part of a two-year agreement.

The 24-year-old’s contract is now set to expire, meaning a decision will need to be made soon on his future with the League Two club.

8 Luther Munakandafa

The 19-year-old has yet to feature for Notts County since returning from a one-month loan spell at Rushall Olympic near the end of 2023.

With just a few months remaining on his contract, it remains to be seen whether Munakandafa has a long-term future with the club
