Rebuilding the Hoosiers’ roster has been a major project for Mike Woodson and the IU basketball coaching staff. With seven available scholarships and significant NIL resources, the Hoosiers’ portal work is gaining attention.

Woodson has expanded the 2024–25 roster by five players thus far. Regarding the team’s recent additions, the Hoosiers coach stated the following:

Oumar has a winning history and a dominant post presence on both sides of the court. His top-tier playing background will improve our program. He’s a large guy with terrific hands, good footwork, and a delicate touch around the rim. He fits in our system and league perfectly because he is highly physically fit. Oumar and his family are a pleasure to have here in Bloomington.
