WVU football confirms signing of transfer offensive lineman

West Virginia’s football program has announced the signing of its seventh incoming transfer player for the spring semester.

Xavier Bausley, a 6-foot-5, 315-pound, redshirt sophomore offensive lineman from Dunbar, West Virginia, has signed a grant-in-aid and will transfer to WVU from Jacksonville State. He will have three years to complete his three years of remaining eligibility.

Over the past week, West Virginia announced the signings of T.J. Crandall (Colorado State), defensive end T.J. Jackson (Troy), wide receiver Jaden Bray (Oklahoma State), linebacker Reid Carrico (Ohio State), outside linebacker Ty French (Gardner-Webb) and cornerback Ayden Garnes (Duquesne).

That group of seven constitutes all of the known public incoming transfers to the program. WVU is still in the transfer market for additional players including those who could help at wide receiver and in the defensive secondary.
