Holohan and Eisa among 11 let go by Grimsby
Eleven players, including Gavan Holohan and Abo Eisa, are scheduled to depart Grimsby Town this summer.
This season, Holohan (32) led all assisters with nine goals, while Eisa (9) finished second in goals scored behind Danny Rose.
Head coach David Artell has extended the contract of midfielder Kieran Green and kept 12 other players from the previous campaign.
Talks about new contracts are still “ongoing” externally with Denver Hume, Callum Ainley, and Harry Clifton.
The Mariners were only seven points above relegation after finishing 21st in League Two.
Signed from Hartlepool United in March 2022, Holohan made 12 appearances that season as Grimsby climbed back into the English Football League via the National League play-offs at Wembley.
Since then, he played 95 times, scoring 12 goals, with his last game coming in the 2-0 win over Swindon Town that secured Grimsby’s place in League Two for another season.
