Mitchell in talks over new Exeter City contract
Demetri Mitchell, a winger for Exeter City, is negotiating a new deal.
The former Manchester United player had a significant influence early in the season before missing the remainder of it due to a knee injury.
Talks are also ongoing regarding Zak Jules, Caleb Watts, and experienced former Tottenham Hotspur player Tom Carroll, as well as highly regarded young goalkeeper Harry Lee.
Kyle Taylor, a midfielder, is one of the seven players who will be leaving the team.
Harry Kite and Alex Hartridge, two seasoned academy graduates, have already made their exit announcements.
In addition, James Scott, a striker whose contract will officially finish in January after moving to St Mirren, is going along with Gary Woods, Joe O’Connor, Harrison King, and others.
We are working hard on all the players and hopefully they commit to Exeter very soon,” manager Gary Caldwell said of those players he is still in talks with.
“Everyone’s situations are different in terms of needs with a contract, everyone has family situations, so we are working with that.
“We want it to work sooner rather than later so come June 20 we have as much of the squad together who are ready to start the preparation for the new season.
