Recapping all of Tennessee football’s offseason roster movement

For the 2024 season, Tennessee’s roster is mostly set, so let’s take a position-by-position look at all the additions and departures.

With the exception of a last-minute addition or a fallout with a player from the 2024 recruiting class, Tennessee’s football team’s roster is essentially set for the following season. The NCAA transfer portal’s spring window has opened and closed, and the Vols’ summer training will soon begin in a few weeks. It’s a good idea to review Tennessee’s offseason roster movement before head coach Josh Heupel and his team embark on their third phase of the offseason.

Regarding scholarships, the Vols will lose 30 players to transfers while adding 29 players—21 from the 2024 recruiting class and 8 from the portal—during the winter window.
