Northampton looking to seal top spot – Hill

Prop Paul Hill says that Northampton Saints have no choice for who they would play against in the Premiership play-offs.

Hill said to BBC Radio Northampton’s Saints Show, “For myself and a few other players, it’s a chance to finish on a high, finish the league off, finish in top position.”

Although seven teams remain in the running for play-off spots, Hill, who will move to Edinburgh prior to the upcoming campaign, declared that he “does not do league watching”.

He responded, “You play the team in front of you,” when asked about probable semi-final opponents. Why should I even be concerned about who I’m going to play? That is a pointless endeavor. Simply perform what you observe.”

Last Saturday, Saints ran in 14 tries to demolish a much-changed Gloucester team 90-0. A number of players, including Hill, who hasn’t played in a month, and center Rory Hutchinson, are back to full fitness.
