Transfer from Vanderbilt, where he started 12 games over two years with the Commodores, he joins LSU after accumulating 2,731 passing yards and 22 touchdowns at Vanderbilt. He completed 222 out of 394 passes with 9 interceptions in 12 games and also rushed for one touchdown. A standout from Cherokee High School in White, Georgia, he was an Under Armour All-American and a finalist at the Elite 11 competition, rated as one of the nation’s top pro-style quarterbacks in the Class of 2022.

In his final start at Vanderbilt, he threw for 167 yards and a touchdown against Tennessee.
Played in 9 games with 6 starts, completing 115 of 198 passes for 1,274 yards, 10 touchdowns, and only 2 interceptions. He came off the bench to throw for 146 yards and 2 touchdowns against Wake Forest and earned his first career start the following week against Northern Illinois, leading the Commodores to a 38-28 comeback win with 4 touchdown passes and 255 yards. He threw three third-quarter touchdown passes within six minutes during that game. He also threw 2 touchdown passes against Ole Miss and South Carolina. An injury kept him out against Kentucky and Florida, but he returned in the regular-season finale against Tennessee, completing 11 of 17 passes for 79 yards.
A four-star pro-style quarterback from Cherokee High School in White, Georgia, he was a three-year starter. Ranked as the No. 19 quarterback nationally in the Class of 2022, he was named an Under Armour All-American and was a finalist at the Elite 11 competition. He threw for 6,931 yards and 65 touchdowns during his high school career. As a junior, he was named co-offensive 5-7A Regional Player of the Year in Georgia, throwing for 2,505 yards and 23 touchdowns, leading his team to an 8-3 record. He tossed for 2,399 yards and 20 touchdowns as a sophomore. Graduating early, he enrolled at Vanderbilt in January 2022 and was coached by Josh Shaw.
