September 18 – Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania will co-host the 2025 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN) in February 1-28, 2025, the African tournament that sees nations select players from their domestic leagues.

“CHAN is an excellent opportunity for Africa-based players. It is a perfect place to groom tomorrow’s winners of the AFCON,” said Motsepe.

The hosting is a major step forward for the Kenyan FA who were awarded the hosting rights in 2018, but lost them for not being ready to host. The Nyayo and Kasarani Stadia look set to be Kenya’s host stadia with Kenyan president William Ruto guaranteeing that all facilities will be ready.
