Dean Henderson is closing in on a move to Nottingham Forest in a deal that could be worth as much as £20m.

The stopper has found minutes in the United first team hard to come by since making his debut in 2015 and spent last season on-loan at the City Ground before injury left him sidelined at the turn of the year. 

Forest will restore the 26-year-old to his position at first-choice keeper after January signing Keylor Navas left at the end of the campaign.

Erik ten Hag‘s side will be thankful to pocket a sizeable transfer fee for a player who came through their academy as they finalise a £43m deal for Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Talks between Manchester United are Inter Milan surrounding the Cameroonian are close to concluding after he starred in his solitary season at the San Siro.

The 20-year old became the youngest player in the club’s history to sign a professional contract when he penned terms at the age of 16, and he made his senior international debut last year after representing Japan at multiple youth levels.
